Re: NGC2264 LHaRGB

Hello Hamza,

attached is a JPG without frame and corrected for hotpixels (I forgot it for whatever reason in the image I posted first)

Best regards

Re: NGC2264 LHaRGB

Hello Hamza,

it will be a pleasure.

I will send you via PM a less compressed version. What format do you prefer?

NGC2264 LHaRGB

It's my first try with a new Lacerta 250 F/4.7 Newton and a Moravian G2-4000 on an EQ8 mount. Guiding was a real challenge. Total exposure was 9h and 25 min. Imaging, calibration and registering with Prism. Color combining and fine tuning with Photoshop CC.

Best Regards

Re: Suggest features for V11

Hi, here are my two cents. 1. More flexibility in setting up camera role for parallel setup users in automatic observations. That means, to have an option to choose if camera 1 is making pictures or camera 2, or both in parallel. Additional the option to set the guiding cam to slot 3. 2. Coordinatin...

Re: Coordinated Dithering

Hi, I had the same questions a the beginning and here are my two cents from my usage over the last year. First the software didn't syncronize the cameras. The software is able to handle more than one camera but in an unexpected way from the point of view of an user with a parallel telescope setup. M...

Re: Define different cameras in Automatic Observation

Hi, no, unfortunately not. So, if you want do imaging with two scopes in parallel and guiding you have to do it by using sequences for each camera. But you may not dither since the cameras are not synchronized. For the automatic observation feature only one imaging camera is available, while the sec...

Re: Narrowband workflow

A workflow for combining LRGB plus Ha would be great as well.

Re: Sky Chart - missing buttons

The update via help->updates doesn't work on my computer. I'm getting every try a 'timed out' error. The Firewall was manually opened for prism.exe.
Is there a link to download the latest version?

Sky Chart - missing buttons

I'm missing the buttons for setting the sky chart direction to North, South, West, East and Zenith. Any hints how enable it?

Re: Eq8 terrible noise when slew with prism

Hi all, the noise come from some resonance in the steppermotors, due to the cheap design of the Skywatcher mounts. I posted a question about the noise issue in the EQMod Yahoo group and here is the statement (with his permission) from Chris Shillito , the programmer of EQMod: "chrisshillito2000May 1...

Re: Eq8 terrible noise when slew with prism

Hello Hamza, I made some tests this day. That mysterious noise is not only a PRISM thing. I was able to reproduce it with SGPro too. When the speed setting is 0.5 degrees per second the Mount becomes noisy. It seems to be an EQMod Problem now. I will post this issue at the EQMod yahoo group. If you ...

Re: Eq8 terrible noise when slew with prism

Hi all, i can confirm this issue. I have the EQ8, connected with EQDir to my computer, for manual moving, there is a Gamepad linked to EQMod. This noise seems to be coming from the way that PRISM connects to EQMod. As long as PRISM is connected I can either use PRISM or the gamepad to move the mount...

Re: Good Night system with Prism?

Hi Niklas,

very cool application. A request for improvement would be an adjustable timeout for the watchdog. Since I'm doing exposures with 300 sec's or more, a longer time range would be very helpfull.

Thank you

Re: Define different cameras in Automatic Observation

Hello Hamza, thank you for your answer. It seems I was not clear enough in my post (english is not my main language). I have no intentions to use a DSLR as a guider. My thinking was, that from the three camera slots the first two ones are dedicated to the imaging cameras (since both are connected to...

Define different cameras in Automatic Observation

Hello, yesterday I tried the automatic observation Feature for the first time. But it failed totally (and crashed the System and my EQDir Adapter). My Setup (it's from my thinking how it should work, since the documentation is very week in this point) is as follows: Main scope - Newton with a Moravi...

Re: Problem with CANON EOS 1000D

Hi all, meanwhile after setting up a fresh system and some trial and error I found the (simple) root cause. Under the tab "Window" in the camera window itself, the picture size was set (not by me) to a value less than the actual chip size. After changing it to the real numbers, the camera is working...

Problem with CANON EOS 1000D

Hi all, when using my CANON EOS 1000Da in a sequence (for calibration images or in a loop sequence) after the first image PRISM shows an error message (see attached picture). Under APT or SGPro the camera works with no issues. The log file is available too, but I don't wan't to post it in an open fo...
