I keep considering purchasing then dealing with the support/problems since I suspect you'll get me debugged. And there is a sale now but PRO vs ADVANCED? What does advanced offer that makes for such a increase in price? (things that I can do in pixinsight or what?) the issue (capture) I posted this ...

Tried and failed, Trying again to get Prism to work with NexDome.
I saw I posted this in the wrong area. (How do I get a new trial) it's been a year or so and I'd like to see if I can resolve the problems. Also - what is the difference between adanced and PRO? I did a trial a year ago (or more?) and I had problems with Prism controlling my Nexdome. So I left it (though I liked what did work). Nexdome just hired a top notch programmer to redo their firmware and ascom driver and we're in apha testing stage and I'd like to see if Prism will now work properly...

Re: Dome "rotating" issue
Today's tests. I re-incorporated Poth. This then handles the dome slaving and tracking. (works). All is well- EXCEPT. The dome control (which now accurately shows the dome position) will not show the AZ of the mount. The mount IS tracking outside the dome shutter. (in reality). But as you can see, i...

Re: How do you define a RT horizon profile?
thanks - I'll try this. Seems a bit of a chore. Just fyi - there is a app I have on iphone that creates your horizon by using the camera and panning around. The app then uses that and it's a awesome app. (called OBSERVER PRO ) fairly cheap. My most used IOS app. Anyway - I WONDER if the dat file it ...

Re: Virus detected in update?
patches are often seen as "program modifications" and are flagged as a possible virus. 90% of the time - are not.

Re: APCC Pro, ASCOM AP Driver, Prism Advanced with an AP Mount -
Ah I did experience the issue. I told APCC to park3 and it went wild. This is from allowing Prism to call APCC? What I have done is I run POTH HUB. I connect the dome and the mount. (apcc). I then run prism which is configured to use the poth driver for dome and for mount. Not sure if this will impr...

Some setup issues...?
several issues. 1. At first dome worked great - I must have configured something differently? It now says ROTATING (all the time) and errors that it's in motion. (when it's not) and will not rotate at all. Open and close / shutter work. (I'm back UPDATE: booted today and dome rotation looks fine). O...

Re: APCC Pro, ASCOM AP Driver, Prism Advanced with an AP Mount -
Where did you end up. I’m just starting to demo the software. I need to figure out guiding with it. But I’m making progress much faster than I did with sgp. I love that it can be busy with things like plate solving that doesn’t freeze up everything else like sgp does. I using apcc pro. I didn’t know...

Re: Hello - new user ... questions and comments so far
How to delete posts? (my last two) I solved the problem. It says enter the mount.dome stats in M (meters) I tried that and that's what screwed it up. erased everything but the 1.2 meter diameter... and it works normal again it appears. Anyone using a Nexdome - what do you put for mount off sets? And...

Re: Hello - new user ... questions and comments so far
stumped. rebooted, power cycled everything. I called up the Map and it showed it was pointing (park 3 north star). As it is... and should. I did a "SYNC" to this position. (it did) and didn't fix the graphic in the obsy ? It seems to think the dome IS ROTATING. As its message states. ??

Re: Hello - new user ... questions and comments so far
while downloading to install teh plate solve catalogs. (it doesn't like what I had).
I'm having a weird issue. I keep getting a error that says teh dome is already moving.
and it's not moving. It's homed.
It was tracking with the scope, now it doesn't move and I get the error.
any ideas?

Re: Hello - new user ... questions and comments so far
Next question: hardware connected, my cloud sensor (setup is good - I select my driver, I have it point to the cloudwatcher/solo folder and read the file... the driver says "looks good currently unsafe". (which it is). So setup looks great. When hardware is connected. All connects... tab under teles...

Re: Hello - new user ... questions and comments so far
I've spent some time with the manual and help files again. I finally sound where to enter my location. = ) My question at this point. I setup camera 2 as guider. I have never used the ST4 port? I don't have to do I? You said you did with your CVX mount. I have a AP Mach1. typically that's all handle...

Re: Hello - new user - is are images so contrasty/low bit?
I can't get the "cuts" to lock in. I did a shot. (to contrasty) Slicing the histogram controls I like how it looks around high cut reading of 1508 and low cut of -20 If I go to enter these in under settings it says they're out of range? so how can I SAVE these? Of course - it might be in the manual!...

Re: Hello - new user - is are images so contrasty/low bit?
I found skins right away (something I've requested of SGP) they can't seem to handle it (or don't want to). In 15 minutes I was already ripping off shots of M13 from clicking on it in the programs planetarium to viewing images. (IT took me a month to get that far in SGP). Did you write this? (one ma...

Re: Hello - new user - is are images so contrasty/low bit?
Here's an example. Same shot. Left is how it looks in SGP and Pixinsight right is in Prism? Maybe it's OVERLY STRETCHED? I'll see If I can find some histogram control.

Hello - new user ... questions and comments so far
I've had it with the lousy support for SGP. I'm tired of asking for simple requests to be sold "that's to hard". I installed Prism after a friend recommended it. I watched most videos first. Looks nice if it works. So I just installed and started setting up hardware, then software. As a test I fired...
