Re: Plate solving issues - Eurolad19
For the local copy of astrometry.net to solve fast you need to identify wich index files are used for solving. Go to Astrometry Log and see what index was used. Then delete all index files you don’t need. Even so it’s not as fast as prism but it always solves. Prism fails to solve if you don”t have ...

. Ok so if you correct the first line in the text files you can compute the model BUT when you try to upload it there is only one option for 1 cor file not 2! This happend after the prism update wich fixed the direct autofocus error.

Pointing Model
Last night I tried to make a pointing model for the east part of the sky. I choose 64 stars in the east, 3 sec exposure and 4x4 bining. For 64 stars it took 34 minutes. but in the end I could not compute the model. Any ideeas about the error?

If I have 2 focusers and 2 cameras how do I tell prism wich focuser to use when autofocusing or direct autofocusing?

Re: autofocus failure: brightest pixel too close to edge of the image
Also if you have an older prism instalation file you could uninstall current version and install the older one just to test, or if you have a virtual machine you could install the older version there so you dont have to reconfigure anything again.

Re: autofocus failure: brightest pixel too close to edge of the image
Tomorrow I will see the verion reported and post the image. It should work. I don’t know why only we had the problem. Maybe others didn’t updated Prism. There was an update maybe 2 months ago, when I noticed the sharplock continuos focus capability was removed, but I found a workaround for my on axi...

Re: autofocus failure: brightest pixel too close to edge of the image
Yes I copied the files from the zip folder to prism folder. I have a moravian g3 16200 ccd camera with a 12 inch f8 acf and an optec focuser. I tested 1 night several times and it worked. I like the direct auto focus tool better because it selects an appropiate star automaticky for focusing

Re: autofocus failure: brightest pixel too close to edge of the image
Hey, I some times have the same error. I usualy try 4-5 times to autofocus until I succeed. The direct autofocus also gives me the same error constantly. Actually I was going to ask the same question as you today. Tonight I will install the update and hopefully it will fix the problem

Re: Suggest features for V11
A little comeback on my previous post. If Skyguard implementation in Prism would be problematic at least Optec's FocusLock should be easier since it's an updated version of SharpLock wich was integrated in Prism but then removed. I find it extremely usefull to be able to realtime focus. I still have...

Re: Plate solving issues - Eurolad19
At first platesolving was problematic for me too. After some experimenting I found that bin 2x2 or 3x3 is the way to go. I take an image binned and then right click on the image and left click use software embeded function if I recall corectly. That prompts the platesolving screen. Just press Ok (i ...

Re: Suggest features for V11
After experimenting with SKYGUARD software from mr Gaston B. regarding full frame guiding and real time focusing it would be a fantastic addition/integration wih Prism v11. As a begginer I had some trouble setting everything corectly, but once done it is great. The support from mr Gaston B. Was great

SkyGuard v3 and Prism
Hello guys, after a week or so, I've finally found how to make Prism and SkyGuard/ONAG work. After an update to Prism, SharpLock/FocusLock integration with Prism was removed. Not to worry though, you can still use your ONAG to fullframe-guide and realtime focus with Prism. All you need is to install...

Re: Setting up a local copy of Astrometry.net
A few days ago I updated Ascom Platform from 6.3 to 6.4 version. After the update the Astrometry.net platesolving both local and online stoped working. The error message is: PLUG-IN ASCOM.AstrometryNet.Switch is not installed.
How do I install it? Any ideas?

Re: Sharplock/FocusLock
If I understood corectly from dr Gaston B. The Skyguard can focus and guide as a standalone solution. The software comunicates directly with Ascom. So I must give it a try, guidin and focusing with Skyguard and the rest of the workflow with Prism. Meanwhile I’m expeimenting with Prism’s pointing mod...

Re: Sharplock/FocusLock
If I understood corectly from their site, the Skyguard software is a standalone solution for full frame guiding and focusing. So that means I could just use that in parallel with Prism and not guide and focus with Prism? Does that make sense?

Sharplock/FocusLock
Hey everybody. Are any of you using FocusLock/Sharplock with Prism? When I bought the software there was a button for SharpLock Calibration but now I can't find it. Was this feature removed after updates? How do you use Focuslock/SharpLock with Prism?
Thanks
Thanks

It would be nice to be able to automatic image with 2 cameras at the same time for us that are using 2 scopes on one mount
