Script for automatic observing
This is a great script written by Alain Maury ( www.spaceobs.com) to help in variable star observing. all your comments and suggestions are welcome. Please remember to change the file extension to ".pgm" to work in PRISM. REM Variable star observing REM originated from the asteroid survey script REM...

Re: Scripting Callouts / Hooks from Automated Observing
as you noted, Cyril has opted for the start, end and in case of trouble to execute a script, it has been like this since its conception. There is already a script designed by Alain Maury that I will post later with his permission. It does quite a bit.

Re: Filter Names with ASCOM Filter Wheel
when you choose Hardware setup then filterwheel #1, you should be presented with a "setup" button on the bottom right where you can set your filterwheel names. PRISM will then pull the name from ASCOM as you name them. If this is not the case, please post a picture of what you're seeing please.

Enhancement suggestion: store the autofocus parameters in settings and use them by default. This is already available here: focus parameters.JPG I woke up at 445AM local time and the run was still going, but it had gotten to 159 exposures. By 162 exposures, the scope was starting to point below my ...

Re: AutoFocus: Start and End Focuser Positions vs. Step Size and Number of Steps from Current Position
Excellent post Rowland. Changing equipment is handled in PRISM as you can save the entire software's settings for each setup. This will address your hardware changes. PRISM is being developed continuously and we welcome Ideas such as this one. One thing to keep in mind however; PRISM has exceeded 1 ...

Re: Camera Tab gain and bias
You can set them in the camera tab if you know what they are. Just telling the camera to go to "unity gain" remains a function of the ASCOM driver

Re: AutoFocus: Start and End Focuser Positions vs. Step Size and Number of Steps from Current Position
Hi Rowland Thanks for the great question. PRISM takes a rather simple and reliable way to autofocus. It is not far-fetched to ask where the start and end of the autofocus routine is and one has to account for ALL telescope setups out there. Some cases with SCT are hard to deal with because of mirror...
