This new motor focuser is suppose to work with 3rd party software via an ASCOM driver. Mine is arriving soon but wanted to know if it can work on PRISM and if anyone has tried it.

it will be no problem if it has a supported ASCOM driver, this is what is great about the platform

Excellent- it just arrived and hope to test it out within the next week. I asked because I know some reported issues with the Celestron ASCOM driver using SGP. Hopefully, that will not be the case here.

I uploaded the ASCOM driver tonight. It installed but when I go to open it in PRISM, I get an error message and the COM Port box is empty- no choices to pick a com port. I also got an error message in SGP so it apparently is an ASCOM issue. I have sent ASCOM Talk a message too but was hoping someone here had any suggestions.

thanks for the report, yeah this seems to be an issue stemming from the driver indeed
