[SOLVED]Filter Names
I'm trying to set Prism up with a ZWO filter wheel which uses an ASCOM driver. I can't find where to set the filter names - e.g. filter 1 = L, 2=R, 3=G, 4=B, etc.
I see how to do it if the camera has an embedded filter wheel, but for an external one.
Thanks,
Rowland

Hi Hamza -
Thanks for the quick reply.
When I do that, I only see the ZWO ASCOM filter wheel driver setup dialog, which does not allow renaming the filters to something that is more intuitive than 1, 2, 3, etc.
Does Prism support such a renaming table independent of what the ASCOM driver supports, or does Prism need the driver to maintain the name mapping table?
Cheers,
Rowland

Can you type where the the " 1 " is, as in type "Lum" there and cycle through the filters and see if the names remain?

I don't get the "Edit" option. I tried putting in the filter names on the ZWO drop down menu but they didn't insert.

Try updating the driver please, I am sure that’s what the issue is as this is outside of PRISM per se.

I am actually not sure. In doubt, I’d update both.

I un-installed and re-installed ASCOM and updated ZWO. No luck I will try the ASCOM help/forum. Thank you, John.

So in one spot on my computer it says the EFW does not need a driver but on the ZWO website it has a driver for the EFW. I installed that and what do you know? Presto I have the edit button and now my filters are named. Sweet!! Thank you, John.
