Why a Dongle ?

PRISM license system allows three software activations on three different PCs. This allows a single user to use PRISM, for instance, on

its observatory PC, its home desktop PC and a laptop. Once the 3 licenses are exhausted, some additional license can be granted, but

only on request basis, and some requests might not be accepted.

If one formats the hard disk, the license will be recalled, and the amount of valid license will not be decreased. If one change the PC's

motherboard, the license number will be decreased.

Keep in mind, that this is not not possible today to transfer a license from a PC to another.

To overcome the license number issue, the hardware dongle is proposed here for sale, to be able to run PRISM on more computers.

What this Dongle will do.

Say, PRISM software has been installed on 12 PCs (that are named here PC #1 to PC #12). The user can activate by software PC #1, #2

and #3. Despite three software license have been already granted, the USB dongle will allow to run PRISM in one of the 9 remaining

PCs. Say, PC #5 has the dongle attached to it, PRISM will start. If the dongle is detached from PC #5 USB port and attached to PC #8,

PRISM will run now on PC #8, but not in PC #5 anymore. It allows to transfer PRISM license from one PC to another very easily.

What this Dongle will not do.

This dongle looks very similar to a regular mass storage USB stick, this is not a mass storage device, user data cannot be written to

it. So this device uses one USB port. If disconnected during PRISM's been active (software has been started up), PRISM will halt with

no warning whatsoever. This dongle attached to your PC, it must be put before starting up PRISM also. This dongle does extend the

number of PRISM licenses by one (three software activation + dongle license). If PRISM is installed into 10 PCs, it will not allow to run

PRISM into 10 PCs simultaneously, but on the only one that has the USB dongle connected. To get more PRISM license please contact
